Medical Office Assistant / Medeo Coordinator

About Us

Medeo is building a web and mobile application that is revolutionizing how doctors and patients communicate through video conferencing.  As the Medeo Coordinator for a virtual clinic with multiple doctors in varied locations, your main responsibility will be to maintain efficient practitioner/patient workflow for those using our application.  This is a special opportunity to be involved in a healthcare technology start up environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work in our application to ensure patient and practitioner information is entered correctly and verified where necessary
  • Work in an electronic health records system
  • Process prescriptions, lab requests
  • Accurate billing
  • Being on camera with patients/practitioners
  • Ensuring patient audio/visual settings allow for a smooth consultation
  • Speaking with Medical Office Assistants at practitioners’ offices
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information pertaining to patient/practitioner visits

What we're giving bonus points for

  • Experience using OSCAR EMR system or similar, eScripts and PharmaNet
  • Experience with teleplan, billing and labs
  • Public speaking experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year experience as an MOA preferred, but not required
  • post-secondary education
  • eligible to work in Canada
  • fluent English


  • Compensation based on experience, but will be minimum $15/hr
